When I picked up this site I found it was a nice way to dust off my tech skills. I migrated the old content to the new setup, arranged the hosting, mailservice, domain along with automatic back-ups and upgrades etc. It is quite low touch now and well documented.
However it is low touch for me and the expense is time and 280 euro a year. The thing is though it will be hard to transfer to someone who doesn’t have the tech skills.
I’ve asked my dear friend Lumo (Proton’s privacy friendly AI) for a cheap/green/eu based managed service provider and he came up with: Communiteq.
I’ll be looking into this as it is quite similar in terms of all-in expenditure and then it will be way easier but not completely hands-off for someone else. There will be a support desk etc.
Would be good to make it possible to hand-over should I ever decide go for another boat etc.
